April 15, 2024

We had an amazing peak moment at Eisenhower this week when our staff and students were able to observe a historical eclipse moment.  We want to send a special congratulations to Wyatt H., an 8th grade student at IKE, for receiving a recognition award for his Reflection project through the PTA.

8th Grade Graduation:

As we approach spring, we wanted to provide an update on the eighth-grade graduation ceremony. We are excited to announce that this year’s event will be held from 8:30 am to 9:20 am on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Wintrust Field, also known as the Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

In order to accommodate all families, we will be limiting each family to six tickets. Students will sit on the field with their classmates, while families will sit in the stands. In the event of rain, we will hold our graduation ceremony on Monday, June 3, at 8:30 pm at Hoffman High School. Either way, the last day of school for eighth-grade students will be Friday, May 31. District 211 summer school classes start on June 3 and we want to ensure our eighth-graders can participate in those classes.

A livestream of the event will be posted to the District 54 YouTube Channel for individuals who are unable to be there that day. All students’ names will be read during

Our April PTA meeting will be next week on Tuesday, April 16th at 6:30pm. We will be voting in our new proposed slate of PTA officers for the 2024-2025 school year and need your help to reach a quorum of members. Stop by to vote for our new officers and help us finish up planning out the rest of this school year!

New Slate of Officers for 2024-2025

At this month’s PTA meeting, the nominating committee presented the following names as our proposed slate of officers for the 2024-2025 school year:

 President: Erica Kral

Vice President: Michelle Kero

Corresponding Secretary: Rita Lazar

Recording Secretary: Mallory Whalen

Treasurer: Kelly Ridley

Many thanks to our nominating committee for their hard work and for these wonderful parents for stepping up and offering to volunteer their time to the school next year! We know the PTA will be in good hands.

 Remaining Nacho Days

Thank you to the parents who stepped forward to help with our remaining nacho days!  We have the help we need to continue with our remaining scheduled days. We appreciate you helping us ensure these last few Monday nacho days can happen for our students!

Looking for new Committee chairs for 2024-2025

Now that the new board is set for next year, they will be looking for incoming 7th grade and 8th grade parents that would like to help out with open committees. We will need new people to run committees such as concessions, social media, family fun night, staff appreciation meals, nacho day and hot lunch. These are all currently open since the current chairs have 8th graders, which means we need your help to keep these student favorites going! If you are interested, please consider coming to one of our last two meetings of the year or reaching out to [email protected]
